Our Aims

Steve WilkinsonAccessible Places is a trading name of the social enterprise company, Accessible Business CIC
 

It is a "dealing with disability" initiative of Accessibility Champion, Steve Wilkinson Steve Wilkinsonaka WheelchairSteve, whose passion is to make the World a better place for disabled people.Steve Wilkinson

Steve discusses disability employment and access for people with additional needs with Jonathan Shaw, the former Minister for Disabled People in November 2009 at the launch of the Newcastle office of Remploy Employment Services.

The aims of Accessible Business CIC are:

  • To provide training, work experience and employment for disadvantaged people, particularly those with disabilities.
  • To provide an on-line platform where people with particular access needs can share information and opinions about their experiences visiting Accessible Places.
  • To develop a sustainable business enterprise to support the above aims.
